TUTORIALS FROM THE HYBRID BODY LAB

We have made available on-skin interface prototyping tutorials taught in Prof Cindy Hsin-Liu Kao’s Ph.D. course DEA 6040 Future Body Craft at Cornell University. These tutorials are derived from research papers from the Hybrid Body Lab, which Prof. Kao then tailored design for student learning through iterative workshop testing with students since 2017.

We share these tutorials publicly to encourage more people to explore the emerging field of on-skin interfaces!

If you happen to reuse or adapt these tutorials for teaching or hosting on a third-party site, we would appreciate you letting us know by filling out the form here and also crediting us in the format below on your website or your syllabus — this would help us relay the impact of our work to funding agencies, in effort to apply for more resources to develop and make more tutorials available! You will also be the first to know when we publish new tutorials by leaving your info.
